We’ve been using FiveRuns TuneUp as a quick and easy tool for proactively identifying performance issues in production Ruby on Rails applications. (TuneUp is free and brain-dead easy to use for any Rails developer, so definitely check it out.) We’re excited to announce our RAMP program partnership with FiveRuns and look forward to seeing more services such as Manage in the future!

First Phoenix Android Developers Meeting

Put the word out! The first Phoenix Android Developers meeting will be held this Thursday…

When: Thursday, November 13th, 2008, 6pm.
Where: OpenRain HQ, 2220 South Country Club Drive, Suite #107, 85210

Pizza and drinks will be served. RSVP requested via the Google Group so the appropriate amount of food can be ordered. During this first meeting, both Remi Taylor and Marc Chung will walk through the development of a Hello World Android application. Lots of things to share, but expect to learn about the development environment, bits and pieces of the API, and actually getting the app on to your phone, followed by general discussion of thoughts and experiences with the group!

Logitech MX Revolution Security Flaw

Ben found a big security issue today with the Logitech MX Revolution on OS X, basically making it possible to read the contents of a screen supposedly hidden by a password-protected screen saver. Great find, Ben!
